How to Choose the Right Martial Art for you Child
Chances are, if you ask an instructor, what’s the best Martial Arts for kids, they will tell you how the one they teach is the best.
However, any Martial Art that teaches your child respect, courtesy, self confidence, self discipline as well as all the mental benefits of Martial Arts is that one is the best for your kid. So in a sense, all Martial Arts that teach what I just mentioned, are the best for your kids.
You child will develop positive characteristics; respect, courtesy, self confidence, self discipline as well as mental benefits such as a strong memory, mental relaxation, mind and body control. Also, through Martial Arts, your child will have fun exercise and when you exercise your body releases endorphins, which are chemicals in your brain that make you feel good. A lot of people struggle with getting kids to listen, so Martial Arts for kids is a great way for children to develop obedience at a young age to help increase the chance you child says “Yes Dad” or “Yes Mom” when you instruct them to do something.
What’s the Best Age to start Martial Arts?
It’s best to start Martial Arts training young, and a good time would be when your kid is 4 or 5 years old. Some recommenced even younger, Martial Arts for toddlers which means 1 – 3 years old, but that may be a little young. I guess it would be a case by case basis if you kid is under 4 years old, since most 4 or 5 year old’s are able to start basic training and learn the mental and character aspects mentioned above.
