While he has run into some difficulties in 2015, former Bellator middleweight champion Brandon “Bull” Halsey is still pleased with his year so far.
In his one bout this year, Halsey failed to make weight in his title defense against Kendall Grove in May, and thus was stripped of his title. Still, he was able to get the win and feels the bout was a good sign of his continued development.
“I’m pretty satisfied by my year so far,” said Halsey. “I got the finish in the first round, and that’s what I’m looking to do each time is to make a statement. I fought through some challenges, got the W and am moving forward.
“Every fight I try to take something and try to build on it and better myself every time I step in the cage. I took a few things from the last fight; obviously the weight cut, dealing with injuries, and rolling with those challenges. I just take what I can from that and try to win.”
