Alexander Emelianenko equaled his brother’s recent feat of knocking out a UFC veteran with his finish of Gabriel Gonzaga in the main event of RCC 2 Saturday in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The Russian exploded into action midway through the second round after spending most of the first under the Brazilian. Once back to his feet, Emelianenko let his hands go forcing Gonzaga to cover up against the fence.
After rocking him with a number of punches, Emelianenko finished the fight with flush knee that sent Gonzaga reeling to the canvas before the referee stopped the fight.
The victory marked his fourth win in a row since returning to action in Sept. 2017.
