“Baby Slice” has an opponent for his first fight at 155 pounds.
Kevin Ferguson Jr., the son of the late Kimbo Slice, will fight Corey Browning on the main card of Bellator 207 on Oct. 12 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. MMA Fighting confirmed the news with officials after an initial report by ESPN.
In his past two bouts, Ferguson, 26, competed at catchweights of 160 and 165 pounds as he gradually made the move down from the 170-pound division. He is 3-1 as a professional since debuting in November 2016, with his last three fights all ending in first-round victories. Ferguson needed just 95 seconds to submit Devon Brock in his most recent outing at Bellator 197 in April.
Browning will be making his Bellator debut after going 3-2 competing primarily in the Tennessee regional scene. He has lost his last two bouts by submission.
Bellator 207 is currently scheduled to be headlined by a heavyweight grand prix semifinal bout between Matt Mitrione and Ryan Bader. Heavyweight veterans Roy Nelson and Sergei Kharitonov will clash in the co-main event.
