Bellator MMA returns for another big card this weekend (Fri., Oct. 23, 2015) as the promotion travels to Uncasville, Conn., pitting former Middleweight champion “Bull” Brandon Halsey against Rafael Carvalho for the vacant title.
Another important Bellator MMA card is on the horizon, and this time the sun sets in the East as the mixed marital arts (MMA) promotion travels to Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., this Friday night (Oct. 23, 2015), airing live on Spike TV.
Bellator 144 was originally slated to feature Bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao against former champion Eduardo Dantas; however, that fight was postponed when Dantas got injured in training. Therefore, a showdown already slated for the televised main card between former champion Brandon Halsey vs. Rafael Carvalho for the vacant Middleweight title was bumped to the top of the marquee.
Barring any further injuries, three other bouts will be featured on Spike TV, including two Welterweight bouts with exciting strikers, as well as another Featherweight battle to establish the pecking order in a talent-loaded weight class.
