Bellator MMA returns to Italy on April 8

71 0

Bellator 176 and Bellator Kickboxing 5 will both take place at Pala Alpitour in Torino, Italy on one night: Saturday, April 8, 2017. Live Bellator MMA action will immediately be followed by a kickboxing card, with broadcast details for both shows to be revealed at a later date.

This announced event is also bereft of a main event on the Bellator MMA half of the show, although we do have details on a few of the fighters who will be in action in Italy.

Promising undefeated welterweight prospect Carrington “Jetsetter” Banks (6-0) will look to remain unblemished as will his Romanian opponent Mihail Nica (5-0).

Lightweight Djamil Chan (12-3) nearly stopped Derek Campos last September with a devastating uppercut left hook combo in round one, but a forgiving referee let Campos continue and he ultimately earned a unanimous decision.

This time it’s Valeriu Mircea (13-4) who will face down Chan’s strikes, and he’ll be hungry to get back in the win column after being submitted by Goiti Yamauchi at Bellator 168 in December — also thanks to a questionable non-stoppage.

Meanwhile on the kickboxing side, flyweight champion Denise Kielholtz (46-3) puts her belt up against Martine Michieletto (34-12-5), while “The Doctor” Giorgio Petrosyan (83-2-2, 1NC) will take on Amansio Paraschiv (23-5-1).
