The curious case of Ben Rothwell continues on.
“Big Ben” has been making noise and repeatedly stated he is down to fight the top guys in the heavyweight division in order to get to a championship fight. But, after getting snubbed for a fight against Andrei Arlvoski at UFC 195 in favor of Stipe Miocic, it seems his calls for big fights keep going unanswered.
No fret, as Rothwell is determined to keep his head high and stay on course. Because as he recently declared on The MMA Hour, he’s been knocked down worse and he hasn’t stayed down.
His words via MMA Fighting:
“Yeah, I maybe got a raw deal, but trust me, I’ve been knocked down from far worse, and this isn’t going to keep me down. This happened for a reason. I have to believe that. It’s the story of my life, and this is one of those things where I don’t understand it now, but I’m going to understand it later, and I just believe that 100-percent. I just know that I’m on a different path right now and I’ve just got to stick to it.”
