Brennan Ward: ‘I’m Going to Win by Knockout’

While a move down to welterweight has helped Bellator fighter “Irish” Brennan Ward get back on track with two straight wins in 2015 following back-to-back losses last year, the way he’s prepared for fights hasn’t changed much at all.

It’s been his consistency over the past few years that have made Ward one of the company’s top talents and in title contention in multiple weight classes.

“I train the way I always train,” Ward told MMAWeekly.com. “I’ve been doing it for about three years now and nothing really changes.”

Ward understands that maintaining a consistent winning output is the thing that’s most important when fighting.

“Obviously, you’ve got to win every fight or else you’re a bum and get fired by your company,” he said. “You’re only as good as your last fight.

“You’ve got to be present. You have to be relevant. You have to always win. I have to win this fight and that’s just the name of the game – always winning.”
