Phillipe Nover won’t have to go far for his next UFC bout.
The 32-year-old featherweight is set to fight Rick Glenn at UFC 208 in his hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y. The promotion announced the news on Tuesday.
Nover is looking to get back in the winning column, as he’s coming off back-to-back decision loses to former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao and Zubaira Tukhugov. ‘The Filipino Assassin’ is 1-2 in his latest UFC stint.
Meanwhile, Glenn is out to get his first UFC win after having an unsuccessful promotional debut. Back in September, Glenn stepped in on short notice to replace an injured Abel Trujillo and fight veteran Evan Dunham in a lightweight bout. Glenn lost that fight via unanimous decision, snapping a three-fight winning streak.
UFC 208 is set to take place at the Barclays Center on Feb. 11. Former women’s UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie are scheduled to fight in the main event of the card for the inaugural women’s featherweight title.
