The WBA-WBC middleweight championship rematch between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez is underway tonight (Saturday, September 15th). Round 4: GGG doubles up on uppercuts and lands one of two. Canelo with a double jab. Uppercut by Canelo. Golovkin not showing much pressuring. Left hook by GGG! He lands another left. Hard uppercut by Golovkin! Canelo just evades a straight right. Body shot by Canelo. GGG responds with an identical punch. GGG touching up Canelo with the jab. Canelo caught with two lefts. And a third one. Two-punch combo by GGG, Canelo lands a shot in return. Both eat jabs. Terrific body blow by Canelo. Another left by GGG. Great fight so far. I have it even. 38-38.

Round 5: GGG reaches with a right to the body. Jab by GGG and Canelo just misses on the uppercut. Uppercut by GGG. Canelo with a head-body combo! GGG with a swollen right cheek. BIG right hand by Canelo! Body shot by Alvarez is solid. GGG gets tagged with a left. Left hook by Alvarez misses. Straight right by GGG connects once more. Stiffening jab by Alvarez. Two body blows by Canelo. Wild swing misses for Alvarez. GGG scores and Canelo answers back. Action picking up! 48-47 Alvarez.

Round 6: Alvarez with a body shot and then he dodges a right hand. Back to the body again by Canelo. Jab by Golovkin once again. Left uppercut glances for Golovkin, then another one is more flush. Right hand by Golovkin. Left hook by Canelo. Straight right by GGG. Body shot by Canelo. Left hook off the top of Canelo’s head. Body shot once more by Alvarez. Jab by Alvarez. GGG sneaks in a left hook. They trade quality shots in close quarters. Huge left hook by GGG is off target. Man, how do you score these rounds? 58-56 Canelo.
