The past couple of years have been rough for UFC bantamweight contender Cat Zingano. She lost a quick fight to then-champion Ronda Rousey, but much more important, she lost her husband to suicide.
Zingano understood that quitting fighting was something that she could have done and everyone would have understood, but being the mom that she is, she didn’t want to show her son that she was a product of her circumstances. Zingano instead decided to show her son how to tackle life’s problems in a positive, proactive way.
