Sorry, Daniel Cormier, but Chael Sonnen isn’t giving you much of a chance to defend your Light Heavyweight title against Jon Jones at UFC 200 on July 9, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada. That’s because as Jones proved in his UFC 197 interim title fight against Ovince Saint Preux last month, he can have the worst performance of his career and still come out on top with a unanimous decision victory.

As bad as he looked by his standards, I don’t know of anyone that can beat him. I mean, he went out, fought the worst fight I’ve ever seen, won all five rounds, won the grappling, won the striking, won conditioning, he won every single aspect of the fight and it was still the worst fight he’s ever done. I don’t know what you are supposed to do with this guy. The son of a bitch knows how to play, man.”
Sorry to you, too, Matt Hamill.
“American Gangster” — and most of the MMA world — was highly-critical of Jones’ performance (see it again here). Even Cormier himself wasn’t ….View full article
