Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin are returning to their roots. The two retired UFC Hall of Famers have been tapped to coach the upcoming third season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America,’ the UFC announced Monday.

Both Liddell and Griffin have an intimate history with TUF beginning with the show’s first season in 2005. Griffin became one of the series’ early stars as a member of Team Liddell and ultimately took that season’s crown, defeating Stephan Bonnar in a memorable battle that is often credited with reenergizing waning interest in the UFC. He and Liddell both returned for coaching roles in subsequent seasons.

Filming for the ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3′ is expected to take place in the late spring in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The season is slated to air in August on UFC Fight Pass, as well as several other regional outlets, with a finale set for Nov. 5 at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

Liddell and Griffin will obviously not be fighting each other at the finale.

“We have come a long way from the first season of The Ultimate Fighter,” Liddell said in a statement. “I feel honored to be a part of the Latin American series. We have great fighters competing in the region and I’m excited to get a chance to train them and teach them a few things I learned during my career. Expect a great finale in Mexico City November 5.”

The UFC first introduced a Latin American themed version of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ in 2014. The show was coached by heavyweights Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum, and featured a cast of bantamweights and featherweights from Mexico and various countries in Latin America, including top Mexican prospect Yair Rodriguez.
