Colby Covington puts UFC 224’s Mackenzie Dern on blast for missing weight: ‘What a slob’

Colby Covington is up to his usual tricks on social media, and this time he’s targeting UFC strawweight Mackenzie Dern.

Dern, who is touted as one of the best female Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the UFC, spectacularly missed weight at yesterday’s UFC 224 weigh-ins, and ‘Chaos’ wasted no time in trolling the BJJ world champion on Instagram.

“First @mackenziedern forgets how to speak English. Now she forgets how to make weight. What a slob. Definitely not a 7 & ⬆️. #ufc224 #misspiggy #nerdbash2018,” Covington posted on Friday.

Dern, 25, weighed in 7 pounds over the designated 116 lbs. limit and will face Amanda Cooper at a catchweight of 123 pounds. Cooper, 26, expected Dern to miss weight but is still nonetheless ‘upset’ and ‘mad’ over her opponent’s lack of respect for the sport.

As for Covington, the top-three welterweight contender has become renown for his online trolling, making enemies of just about everyone on the UFC roster and unleashing the wrath of Star Wars and Marvel fans for ruining two of the biggest blockbusters of 2017/2018. The 30-year-old is expected to face Rafael dos Anjos for the interim welterweight title at UFC 225 on June 9.

UFC 224, which features Dern vs. Cooper on the main card, takes place later tonight, May 12 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
