Campbell McLaren, the co-founder of the UFC and el capitan of Combate Americas, just finished up hosting a one-night eight-man tournament known as Copa Combate, which saw Levy Saul Marroquin defeat 3 fighters in a single night to win the $100,000 grand prize. Following the main event, McLaren caught up with Bloody Elbow inside of la jaula to discuss the night’s festivities, the tournament winner’s next opponent Erik Perez, and what the future has in store for Combate Americas. Yes, McLaren is wearing a gigantic sombrero, but unfortunately, there was no giant guitar readily available to fully complete the ensemble.
