The good news: Cris Cyborg vs. Amanda Nunes for the UFC featherweight title seems to be next.
The bad? Cyborg and Nunes can’t seem to agree on when that fight will take place.
Cyborg tweeted Wednesday that she has signed a contract to defend her featherweight title against Nunes at UFC 228 on Sept. 8 in Dallas. A few hours later, Nunes, the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, responded on Twitter that she has actually signed to fight Cyborg at UFC 232 — the year-end card in December.

Along with the tweet, Nunes attached a photo of the apparent contract for that fight. Cyborg vs. Nunes is the fight the UFC has been trying to put together since earlier this year and it was initially desired for last week’s International Fight Week, but did not come together.
It looks like timing is going to be a snafu again for the two Brazilian knockout artists. At least it seems they have both agreed to fight each other in what would be one of the best women’s fights in UFC history.
