Cris Cyborg is on the prowl. After being cleared of doping charges and seeing the newly established featherweight division crown Germaine de Randamie champion over Holly Holm at UFC 208, Cyborg is ready to get back into the cage and knock some heads off. While Cyborg is willing to fight anyone in her 145-pound UFC debut, she isn’t willing to sit around for that much longer. The Brazilian striker posted the following message to Twitter in an attempt to land her next fight or her immediate release from the promotion:
2 weeks my manager call @seanshelby about my next fight but no news! @ufc if you don’t want to fight me, release me! #letsgochamp @danawhite pic.twitter.com/E5uzl9Z36l

Cyborg, 31, was last seen bloodying Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 95 this past September. She’s easily one of the more recognizable names in women’s MMA and needs to be active as often as possible. With Ronda Rousey all but done, Cyborg is essentially next in line to grab the female limelight.
That said, the UFC featherweight division is barely a division. Its champion is hobbled, its last No. 1 contender is traveling back down to 135 pounds and no other fighters have been signed to join the cause. If UFC is unable to book de Randamie vs. Cyborg then what the hell are they supposed to book?
