If Cris Cyborg’s pro fighting career doesn’t work out, she can always turn to professional wrestling.
The fearsome striker is widely-considered the most dominant fighter in all of women’s mixed martial arts (MMA), but the former Invicta FC Featherweight champion and current UFC title contender looked pretty good during a recent training session with former Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling star Raquel — real name Gabi Castrovinci.
In fact, Cyborg felt so good afterward, she jokingly challenged former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to a “Royal Rumble” match.
“Rowdy” isn’t a rookie when it comes to stepping foot inside WWE’s hollowed ring, though she’s never actually had a full match with the organization. That said, she does seem to have a good relationship with the higher-ups.
As for Cyborg’s more logical next step, she is campaigning for her first-ever UFC title fight against current UFC women’s Featherweight queen, Germaine de Randamie, later this year.
And since Cris no longer has to worry about this, it seems like the next move to make.
