Dana White meeting with Mayweather team, not counting out Floyd’s UFC run

Dana White is still looking at the possibility of Floyd Mayweather fighting in the UFC.

A week ago, Dana White revealed that he was in talks with Floyd Mayweather Jr. for a possible UFC deal. Mayweather, however, immediately dismissed these claims just hours after White made his statement.

On Thursday, the outspoken UFC president appeared on FS1’s Undisputed to revive the possibility of Mayweather’s possible MMA run.

“He had come out earlier and said – that’s why people were asking me about it, and I said don’t count anything out on him coming over to the UFC, that anything is possible. And I still don’t,” White told Skip Bayless. “Listen, you guys know I was here, I did not believe that McGregor-Mayweather would happen and it did. So anything is possible.

“I actually have a meeting with those guys today.”

Mayweather, who turns 41 years old in February, came out of his second retirement last August for what he says is a one-off fight against UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. As expected by the majority, he knocked out “The Notorious” in the tenth round, marking his first stoppage victory in six years.
