And she ain’t even hungry.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey already made the championship weight limit ahead of her UFC 207 pay-per-view (PPV) return, which takes place this Friday night (Dec. 30, 2016) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gone are the days of saunas and crash diets.
“She already weighs 135 pounds, she won’t have to cut any weight,” UFC President Dana White told CNN. “She’s in phenomenal shape. She’s physically, mentally, and emotionally ready for this fight.”
Must be that Pokemon diet.
Rousey will face reigning women’s 135-pound champion Amanda Nunes in the five-round PPV main event, marking her first appearance since a dramatic knockout loss to Holly Holm in late 2015.
And it sounds like that media blackout may have also prompted a refrigerator blackout, but which will prove more favorable: not having to deplete before the fight, or not carrying extra weight inside the cage?
We’ll find out soon enough.
