Just because you’re one of Dana White’s “guys,” it doesn’t mean you can get away with badmouthing the company that made you a millionaire.
After Conor McGregor hurled an “F” bomb toward Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as well as Floyd Mayweather and the sport of boxing, White admitted he didn’t catch wind of his Instagram post, which you can see here:
I’m so made! Heading to do a Q and A in front of 5000 fans! You read that right. That’s more than UFC attendance tonight. And it’s on PPV at http://www.notoriouslive.co Fuck the UFC. Fuck Floyd. Fuck boxing. Fuck the WWE. Fuck Hollywood. And fuck you too pay me.

But during the post-fight press conference, where White made a rare appearance, he was informed of Conor’s strong words. And it’s safe to say he didn’t think too highly of them, as Dana fired back with a warning toward his biggest star.
“When you’re about to go on a pay-per-view (PPV) where you’re charging people five bucks to hear you talk, I’m sure you got to say some pretty crazy shit. You know how I feel about Conor, I’ve always showed him nothing but respect, and if he wants to go down that road with us, let me tell you, it will be an epic fall.”
You’ve been warned.
Of course, “Notorious” is no stranger to making bold statements, but firing an unwarranted “F” bomb toward your employer is rather puzzling.
White has gone on record explaining why he allows the mouthy Irishman to say and do what he wants, but it seems this time around the head honcho wasn’t having it. Now that White has fired back, it will be interesting to see what kind of response McGregor has up his sleeve.
