Tonight (August 7th) is the season two finale of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, which highlights up-and-coming talent as well as some former UFC fighters looking for a second crack at the big time. Winners aren’t guaranteed a UFC contract, but it certainly helps to both win and impress at the same time.
Bloody Elbow is your place for live discussion of this five-fight event at The Ultimate Fighter gym in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event is a heavyweight bout between controversial former NFL star Greg Hardy and Tebaris Gordon. Hardy is signed to a developmental contract, so he’s with the UFC technically speaking, but he’s getting in some pro experience on Contender Series and Dana White’s Lookin’ For a Fight until officials decide whether or not he’s ready for the UFC.
As is the case for the whole of this eight-week run, Dana White’s Contender Series streams live on UFC Fight Pass, starting at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. For a complete preview of tonight’s show, check out Victor Rodriguez’s preview. The full fight card is as follows:
Greg Hardy vs Tebaris Gordon – Heavyweight
Kennedy Nzechukwu vs Dennis Bryant – Light heavyweight
Joseph Lowry vs Devonte Smith – Lightweight
Bobby Moffett vs Jacob Kilburn – Featherweight
Alex Gilpin vs JR Coughran – Featherweight
