A welterweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Darren Till is expected to headline UFC Fight Night in Gdansk, Poland on October 21st.
With just six weeks to go before fight night, it looks as if the UFC has its main event for the promotion’s return to Poland.
Rising welterweight prospect Darren Till is expected to take on Donald Cerrone on October 21st in Gdansk. MMA Uno first reported the story, and MMA Fighting later confirmed the news with multiple sources. An official announcement should be made very soon.
Till (15-0-1) is not even a full week removed from his unanimous decision win over Bojan Velickovic at UFC Rotterdam. Following his performance against Velickovic, the 24-year-old native of Liverpool, England asked for a step up in competition, suggesting Santiago Ponzinibbio, but he’s got himself an even bigger name and an opponent who’s higher ranked than Ponzinibbio.
Cerrone (32-9, 1 NC) is coming off a close unanimous decision loss to Robbie Lawler at UFC 214. Coupled with his TKO defeat to Jorge Masvidal in January, and “Cowboy” is on the first two-fight losing streak of his entire career. The #6-ranked Cerrone’s last win was a spectacular head kick KO of Matt Brown at UFC 206.
UFC Fight Night: Gdansk will stream exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
