A few days after saying that fight fans shouldn’t expect to see the much-anticipated showdown between Robbie Lawler and Donald Cerrone re-booked for UFC 214 on July 29, 2017 in Anaheim, California, UFC president Dana White went ahead and booked the match for the stacked pay-per-view (PPV) event.
Lance Pugmire of the LA Times got the word straight from the horses mouth.
Just received word from @danawhite that @Cowboycerrone @Ruthless_RL is moving from Saturday to Anaheim’s UFC 214 on July 29.

The bout was originally set to go down at this weekend’s (Sat., July 8, 2017) UFC 213 pay-per-view (PPV) event before “Cowboy” was bounced from the event due to a “super bad blood infection” that would require to be on IV’s for seven straight days.
UFC 213’s loss in now UFC 214’s gain, as the Anaheim event now features a stacked card of fights which will be headlined by a highly-anticipated Light Heavyweight championship rematch between division champion Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.
In the co-main event, Tyron Woodley will defend his Welterweight title against Demian Maia, while Cris Cyborg will attempt to win the vacant women’s Featherweight strap when she faces late-replacement Tanya Evinger.
Yes, you read that correctly, three title fights.
If that weren’t enough, Jimi Manuwa will face Volkan Oezdemir in what will likely be a title eliminator bout. And when you add the hard-hitting bout between “Ruthless” and “Cowboy,” you have the best card of the year on paper thus far.
