Edson Barboza eyeing title shot with win at UFC on FOX 20, discusses potential fight with teammate Eddie Alvarez

Perennial Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight contender Edson Barboza will have another opportunity to separate himself from the seething 155-pound pack when he meets former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez tonight (Sat., July 23, 2016) at UFC on FOX 20 form the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Barboza added that a decisive victory over Melendez will land him very close to a title shot. But considering his teammate, Eddie Alvarez, is the current UFC Lightweight champion, things may get interesting if Barboza does in fact earn a golden opportunity.
