Aspiring Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight contenders Erik Koch and Drew Dober will lock horns on Sept. 10 at UFC 203 live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Koch, a former WEC Featherweight standout, will attempt to continue his evolution at 155 pounds after winning his second divisional contest this past May at UFC Fight Night 88 opposite Shane Campbell via second-round submission. The last time the 27-year-old Roufusport product competed in the state of Ohio he lost to Daron Cruickshank via first-round knockout back at UFC Fight Night 40.
As for Dober, who has slowly come on in UFC after producing a 14-4 mixed martial arts (MMA) record prior to his promotional debut back in 2013, he’ll have the opportunity to finally win back-to-back fights in the Lightweight division. Fresh off a complete three-round victory over Scott Holtzman at UFC 195 this past January, the 27-year-old Dober will look to overwhelm Koch with his athleticism and strong build.
UFC 203 will be headlined by a Heavyweight title fight between current champion Stipe Miocic and international dynamo Alistair Overeem.
