Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Strawweight strap-hanger, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, is set to battle once more opposite rival and Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace, Claudia Gadelha, later this evening (Fri., July 9, 2016) at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 23 Finale inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In less than two weeks, Jedrzejczyk will celebrate her two-year anniversary inside the Octagon. In those two years, Jedrzejczyk has climbed from a complete unknown to the best pound-for-pound female fighter in the world.
That’s a quite a rise.
Looking to send her back down to Earth is Claudia Gadelha, who very nearly defeated “Joanna Champion” in a title eliminator match near the end of 2014. In this rematch, Gadelha will look to be more dominant and leave no doubt.

Jedrzejczyk is a former world and European Muay Thai champion, and his striking has transitioned into MMA expertly. She’s far and away the best striker in her division, as she throws at a very high volume while staying tight, offensively and defensively.
As a pretty lanky striker, Jedrzejczyk is excellent with her jab. Jedrzejczyk does a nice job keeping her hands moving and actively feinting, allowing her to suddenly shoot out a long jab. With her jab, Jedrzejczyk does an excellent job maintaining distance and walking her opponent into the fence. In particular, Jedrzejczyk uses a very strong body jab to control the center and keep her opponent on the outside (GIF).
