The Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor press conference in Brooklyn was a trainwreck. Here’s the staredown, which was reasonably normal.
Fans at the Barclays Center had to wait over two hours past the scheduled start time for Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor to begin part three of their four-part World Tour press conference. It didn’t really go over well with the fans in Brooklyn. They were rightfully impatient, and what they got was evidently not very good material from either man. McGregor in particular didn’t have his usual strong command of the crowd, and the absurdity of this response to accusations that he’s made racially-charged remarks towards Mayweather was cringeworthy.
Feel free to watch the faceoff at the top of the page. McGregor was shirtless and entered the arena with only a mink coat on, but didn’t wear it for the staredown.
There’s one more stop on this tour, and it’s across the pond in London, England on Friday. That is supposedly going to start at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT, but punctuality hasn’t really been much of a thing this week.
Mayweather and McGregor will square off in the boxing ring on Saturday, August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
