Let the speculation continue.

Conor McGregor’s former manager posted a video of McGregor training Wednesday on Facebook. In the post, Halli Nelson, the father of UFC fighter Gunnar Nelson and McGregor’s first manager, referred to the Irishman as a “retired UFC champion.” The video of McGregor and Gunnar Nelson training together was taken this week at Mjolnir Gym in Iceland.

McGregor, the UFC featherweight champion, tweeted Tuesday that he was retiring young, an overture that sent the sports world into a tizzy. “The Notorious” was supposed to face Nate Diaz in a rematch at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas.

Hours later, UFC president Dana White announced that McGregor was pulled from UFC 200, because he would not leave Iceland and travel to Las Vegas this week to promote the bout. That promotion also included stops in Northern California, where Diaz is from, and New York. The UFC announced those events Wednesday without McGregor or Diaz named.

McGregor, the UFC’s biggest financial draw, has yet to give his side of the story other than the cryptic tweet about retirement.

MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani reported Wednesday that, according to multiple sources, McGregor will indeed fight again. No one is sure when, though.

Wouldn’t hang my hat anything. One thing multiple sources seem to agree on: he’ll fight again. When? Where? How? TBD. But they believe that.

On Colin Cowherd’s FOX Sports 1 show Wednesday, White left the door open for McGregor to still fight at UFC 200 if he clears things up with the promotion as soon as possible.

McGregor is apparently still training, according to the video posted by Halli Nelson and a photo sent out on Instagram by teammate Paddy Holohan.
