Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir was recently informed by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency of a potential in-competition Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from his recent fight with Mark Hunt.

Hunt knocked Mir out in the first round of their UFC Fight Night 85 headlining bout on March 20 in Brisbane, Australia, so any sanctioning wouldn’t affect the result of the bout. But if the violation is confirmed, Mir would be handed a two-year suspension.

I have never tested positive for banned substances since joining the UFC and becoming a 2X champion. I ask all of you to hold judgement against me until all the facts have been revealed.”
