Full Metal Dojo 7 is set for the Insanity Nightclub in Bangkok on Oct. 31 and the full fight card was released this week. The main event sees the return of Pongsiri Mitsatit, who will be taking on fellow Thai Wisava Kaweewarakorn.
Mitsatit (5-0) is ranked by many as the top prospect in Thailand at the moment. The undefeated 115-pounder has won three fights out of three for FMD and will be taking on Kaweewarakorn, who appears to be making his pro debut.
While 115 pounds is generally the lightest weight class out there, the co-main event will see two significantly larger men go head to head. Former wrestling world champion Amir Aliakbari makes his first-ever foray into the professional ranks with a match-up against Hyung Chul Lee (0-1).
Two more strawweights will be in action when Filipino Jhaymie Gayman (1-0) returns to the FMD cage to take on Cambodia’s Do Meng. The latter doesn’t currently have any fights on his record, but will have had at least a handful of MMA matches in his native Cambodia.
