Hey, remember that thing back in November with the goofy acronym and the even goofier man in charge? Well, just because Georges St-Pierre is back with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) doesn’t mean he’s no longer fighting the good fight.

Especially since he wasn’t able to get the deal he wanted.

“A lot of guys are fighting and they’re still part of the association,” St-Pierre recently told the gang at The MMA Hour (via MMA Fighting). “One thing that I am not, I am not a coward.”

He’s not a coward, but he’s definitely “fake,” according to the new top draw in mixed martial arts (MMA), Conor McGregor, who slammed the former welterweight kingpin for what appeared to be a negotiating tactic.

“It’s not because I’m back in UFC that I’m going throw (away) all of these who had the courage to step up with me, and I’m going to let them down,” St-Pierre continued. “I’m not like that. What I said was true, what I believe. I believe some of the fighters, they don’t have their fair share of the pie. And I still do believe it.”

Not everyone is a believer.

The Mixed Martial Arts Athletes Association (MMAAA) — much like the Professional Fighters Association (PFA) — was created to protect the collective interests of athletes competing for UFC.

How far they get in trying to obtain that “massive settlement” remains to be seen, but I would expect them to spend the next several years in court trying to do so, much like these guys.

Meanwhile, the super-brave St-Pierre will be cashing in yet another monster payday.
