Will BJ Penn actually fight again?
That remains to be seen, but “The Prodigy” appears to be taking the necessary steps towards that accomplishing goal.
Penn met with legendary MMA coach Greg Jackson Tuesday in Albuquerque to discuss joining the JacksonWink team.
“I’m pleased with how the meeting went and very optimistic about the future,” Jackson told MMAFighitng.com. “BJ doesn’t have any specific fight plans, but we have [our own] plans.”
Jackson added that Penn will remain in Albuquerque “for a while” to train with the team.
Penn posted a picture on his Instagram page of him and Jackson Tuesday night.

Penn (16-10-2), who retired in July 2013 following a third loss to Frankie Edgar, said in October that he would consider returning to action to fight Nik Lentz. Since then, Lentz has thrown some jabs his way, but Penn has remained relatively quiet about a return. However, sources close to Penn say he has been itching to fight again.
The 37-year-old Hawaiian was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in July. He currently holds the distinction of being one of two men, along with fellow Hall of Famer Randy Couture, to become UFC champion in two separate weight classes.
