Gunnar Nelson returns after nearly a year out of the Octagon for the UFC Fight Night 107 co-main event on March 18 in London.
The Icelandic fighter will square off with Alan Jouban at the O2 Arena. UFC officials announced the bout on Tuesday.
Nelson (15-2-1) has been competing under the UFC banner for five years, amassing a 6-2 record in the Octagon. Though he has alternated between wins and losses in his last few bouts, Nelson has maintained a Top 10 ranking in the UFC welterweight division.
Though Jouban (15-4) has only been on the UFC roster for three years, his record inside the Octagon is the same 6-2 as Nelson. He is currently on a three-fight winning streak, hoping that a win over Nelson would vault him up the rankings.
The UFC’s return to London features a five-round light heavyweight headliner pitting Londoner Jimi Manuwa against Corey Anderson.
