Former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard and ex-Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) titleholder Vitor Belfort have a lot in common, aside from heavy hands and failed drug tests.
Both combatants are riding three-fight losing streaks.
That’s why Lombard (34-7-1, 2 NC), who was outworked by Johny Hendricks at UFC Fight Night 105 last month in Albany, New York, is calling for a showdown against “The Phenom” later this year.
Consider it a trial run for the “League of Legends.”
@vitorbelfort vs @HectorLombard lest make it happen

Belfort (25-14) was smoked by Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 106 last weekend in Fortaleza, Brazil, the third straight fight in which the 39-year-old Brazilian was finished by way of technical knockout.
With just one bout remaining on his UFC contract, Belfort vows to retire after one last fight. Lombard, who dropped down to welterweight for a spell before puffing back up, sounds like a worthy opponent, at least on paper.
