Insanity! Dana White baffled by Demetrious Johnson’s refusal to fight TJ Dillashaw

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White doesn’t understand why reigning flyweight kingpin, Demetrious Johnson, doesn’t want to defend his title against bantamweight import TJ Dillashaw.

Especially considering the former 135-pound kingpin is not asking “Mighty Mouse” to change weight classes, instead opting to diet down to flyweight to meet the champ on his own terms.

White talks to UFC Unfiltered (via MMA Junkie):

“It’s insanity. Unfortunately for D.J., you don’t make the fights around here. I do. This is the first fight ever in D.J.’s history that he actually gets pay-per-view. He gets pay-per-view on this one, and this is the first real fight that people will care about and want to see on pay-per-view, and he is refusing to fight T.J. Dillashaw. What’s [Borg] ranked – like (No.) 5 or 6?. T.J. Dillashaw is a former world champion, coming down from the weight class above who’s next in line for the title shot there. Absolutely he’s next in line (at flyweight), if that’s what he wants. … it’s nothing against Ray Borg.”

About those brakes…

Dillashaw (14-3) can be seen coaching this season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) and was expected to face off against Cody Garbrandt (11-0) at the UFC 213 pay-per-view (PPV) event this July in Las Vegas, but “No Love” is suffering from back problems and was forced to withdraw.

Any theories as to why Johnson is resisting this match up?
