Ronaldo Souza doesn’t approve of the UFC’s apparent decision to give Dan Henderson a shot at middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
Ranked No. 3 in the UFC rankings behind former champions Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, “Jacare” was hoping that a dominant victory over Vitor Belfort at UFC 198 would be enough for him to finally get his crack at the 185-pound championship, but UFC president Dana White announced after UFC 200 that “Hendo” would get be Bisping’s first title defense.
Disappointed with the decision, “Jacare” fired shots at the middleweight titleholder on his Facebook page, accusing him of running.
“Stop running, Michael Bisping!” he wrote. “Fight me!”
Souza (23-4, 1 NC) has won nine of his past 10 fights, holding a 6-1 record under the UFC banner with wins over the likes of Vitor Belfort, Gegard Mousasi and Yushin Okami.
