A potential welterweight slugfest between Jake Ellenberger and Mike Perry will go down in Nashville in April.
The UFC’s next event in Nashville has many matchups that seem equipped to be Fight of the Night material, and the promotion added another potential one today. This one comes in the welterweight division, with veteran Jake Ellenberger taking on Mike Perry.
Ellenberger (31-12, 10-8 UFC) is coming off a weird loss to Jorge Masvidal where his foot got stuck in the cage and Masvidal was able to finish him off with strikes in the first round. He is just 2-6 in his last eight fights, but the fight before Masvidal was a huge TKO win over Matt Brown.
Perry (8-1, 2-1 UFC) suffered his first career loss in December, dropping a decision to Alan Jouban. He had won his first two UFC fights by KO/TKO before that.
UFC Fight Night 108 takes place in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on April 22nd, and will be headlined by a featherweight fight between Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov. The card will also feature a lightweight bout between Al Iaquinta and Diego Sanchez, along with a bantamweight scrap between Eddie Wineland and John Dodson.
