Last night (Fri., Feb. 24, 2017) was quite the night for rising Irish sensation James Gallagher, who submitted Kirill Medvedovsky at Bellator 173 from Belfast, Northern Ireland, to maintain his undefeated record (6-0). After the victory, “Strabanimal” wasted no time in calling out fellow featherweight prospect A.J. McKee, who has amassed a 7-0 record since making his pro debut in 2015.

The 20-year-old Gallagher is certainly trying to make a name for himself at this point in his career and it seems he’s taking an introductory page out of fellow Straight Blast Gym fighter Conor McGregor’s long book of insults. McKee was intently watching Gallagher’s performance from the comfort of his own home and had the following response to the Irishman’s brash comments after his victory.
#signthecontract so I can get away with legally murdering you in that cage little man…..

At this point, Bellator MMA would be foolish to not put these two seething youngsters inside of the cage at the same time. They already possess significant notoriety around the mixed martial arts (MMA) community and could easily serve as a co-main event, which Gallagher did at Bellator 173.
What say you, Maniacs? Is Gallagher vs. McKee the next matchup to make at 145 pounds?
