Jessica Andrade looks forward to ‘easy’ cut down to UFC strawweight division

The Brazilian will take on a new set of dangerous foes in UFC’s 115-pound weight class for her next outing. Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight combatant Jessica Andrade will look to shed 20 extra pounds in her next Octagon outing and debut in the strawweight division.
The move was announced on UFC Brazil’s website earlier this week.
Andrade, 24, is the owner of a 4-3 UFC record and holds wins over Sarah Moras, Larissa Pachecho, and Raquel Pennington. She is currently teetering on the edge of the Top 15 in the 135-pound division, according to UFC’s official rankings.
The Brazilian submission ace dropped her most recent fight; a rematch against “Rocky” at the UFC 191 pay-per-view (PPV) last month, which resulted in a second-round, rear-naked choke victory for the latter.
“It’s easy,” Andrade told MMAFighting.com. “I expected it to be way more complicated, but I managed to stay at 132 pounds and eat well.”
Maybe she could give this guy some dieting advice.
A potential opponent has not been announced just yet. However, at such a young age, it’s wise for her to make the decision now, as opposed to waiting several years into her mixed martial arts (MMA) career.
