An undisclosed injury has forced Joanne Calderwood out of her strawweight clash against Bec Rawlings at UFC Sydney. As a result, UFC newcomer Jessica-Rose Clark has stepped up on late notice to face Rawlings on Nov. 19 in the co-main event in Sydney, Australia.

MMA Fighting confirmed the switch Wednesday morning following a social media announcement made by Rawlings.

Clark (7-4) was already readying for a Dec. 8 showdown against Vanessa Porto scheduled to take place at Invicta FC 26. The 29-year-old Sydney native has gone 2-2 over her last four fights, all of which were contested at bantamweight. She bookended decision wins over Janay Harding and Carina Damm between losses to Pam Sorenson and former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman.

Now she makes her unexpected Octagon debut against Rawlings (7-6), a fellow Australian who looks to rebound at flyweight after losing two straight fights at 115 pounds. The 28-year-old Rawlings suffered a highlight-reel knockout loss to Paige VanZant last year before falling short in a decision against Tecia Torres this past February. Rawlings missed weight in the latter bout, tipping the scales 1.5 pounds above the strawweight limit.

UFC Sydney takes place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia. Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum takes on Marcin Tybura in the night’s main event.
