Jon Jones returned to the Octagon at UFC 197 on Saturday in Las Vegas, following nearly a year and a half on the sidelines, struggling with various legal and personal issues. Jones was successful in capturing the interim UFC light heavyweight championship by scoring a unanimous-decision victory over Ovince Saint Preux.
The victory earned Jones a $500,000 disclosed payday, according to figures the Nevada Athletic Commission released to MMAWeekly.com on Monday.

The runner-up on the payroll was the man that is vying with Jones to be considered the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Demetrious Johnson.
The UFC flyweight champion earned $195,000 for his co-main event victory over form Olympian Henry Cejudo. Johnson scored a devastating TKO stoppage in the first round.
