Jose Aldo unimpressed with ‘soft punching’ Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor, wants ‘Notorious’ at UFC 205 in New York

Once the final horn rang signaling an end to the Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor rematch at UFC 202 this past Saturday (Aug. 20, 2016) in Las Vegas, Nevada, fans couldn’t stop applauding their respective performances.

Even Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White “couldn’t ask for more” from two of the biggest earners on his roster.

Jose Aldo, on the other hand, wasn’t too impressed with the “soft punches” in bunches that were being thrown by both men who apparently have little gas tanks.

“He did not like the fight,” said Andre Perdenerias — Aldo’s head coach — on The MMA Hour. “He said that after the second round, the people gassed out. And they threw punches, a bunch, soft punches, not hard punches because they were tired. Both of them.”

Of course, Aldo has a tense past with McGregor, getting knocked out by the Irishman at UFC 194 last December in 13 seconds. “Junior” is expected to get a chance to avenge the loss later this year, as White has already stated that McGregor will have to drop down to 145 pounds or give up his strap.

And Aldo wants the fight to go down on Nov. 12, 2016 at the much-anticipated 205 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Madison Square Garden in New York.
