Undefeated Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight phenom Khabib Nurmagomedov was offered a title-eliminator showdown against fellow top contender Tony Ferguson at the upcoming UFC 209 pay-per-view (PPV) event on March 4, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Unfortunately, “El Cucuy” wanted more money, forcing UFC President Dana White to cancel the contest.
That didn’t sit well with “The Eagle,” who is determined to fly into a future title fight against reigning division kingpin Conor McGregor (no way, Jose), just as soon as “Notorious” returns from paternity leave.
Even if it means coughing up his share of the coin (he can afford it) to establish himself worthy of the throne.
Hey @TonyFergusonXT if the @ufc don’t want to pay you I’ll pay you 200k extra on your purse let’s make this fight now you have no excuse

Sounds like a TUF offer to refuse.
While Nurmagomedov is undefeated at 23-0, Ferguson is right behind him in terms of win streaks. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 champ rattled off nine straight wins and is currently 12-1 inside the Octagon with eight finishes.
Your move, “El Cucuy.”
