Legacy FC delivered an action-packed mixed martial arts (MMA) card and event when the Texas-based promotion hosted Legacy FC 52 from inside Golden Nugget Casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana, last night (Fri., March 25, 2016).
From start to finish, the finishes never stopped and the night was capped off by a spectacular showing of grappling from Louisiana flyweight prospect Matt Schnell, who dropped and submitted Klayton Mai in the show’s main event to take the interim 125-pound title.
In a light heavyweight collision, Texas submission ace Ryan Spann choked out Aaron Davis via first-round guillotine after the latter shot for a takedown. Elsewhere in a bantamweight contest, Trent Meaux put together a slick striking attack, utilizing lethal body kicks, to chop down Cody Williams in round two.
Last but not least, Irwin Rivera landed brutal knees and ground and pound, before slapping the rear-naked choke on Jose Cena for the tap in round three of a bantamweight affair to begin the night.
