As if the UFC’s July schedule couldn’t get any busier, the promotion will make its Long Island debut at the newly renovated Nassau Coliseum.

On Friday, Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum officially re-opened after twenty months of renovations. Perhaps not coincidentally, the UFC announced that they’ll be staging a FOX card at the arena — officially called Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Presented By New York Community Bank — on Saturday, July 22nd. No fights have been announced, but tickets will go on sale starting June 2nd.

Nassau Coliseum is located in the hamlet of Uniondale, just under ten miles away from the Nassau County-Queens border, and formerly served as the home of the NHL’s New York Islanders before the team relocated to Brooklyn in 2015. The NBA’s Brooklyn Nets will have its new Development League team, the Long Island Nets, play at the arena starting in the 2017-18 season.

The UFC has several fighters who train and/or hail from Long Island, including Chris Weidman, Aljamain Sterling, Gian Villante, Al Iaquinta, Chris Wade, and Ryan LaFlare. Former welterweight champion Matt Serra is also a Long Island native who has BJJ academies in both Nassau and Suffolk county, while the Longo-Weidman gym is a five-minute drive away from the Coliseum.

UFC on FOX 25 adds to a July that is just filled with events. Just like last year, there will be six live shows, including three in three days as part of International Fight Week in Las Vegas. Here’s your updated schedule for July:

Thursday, July 6th – UFC Fight Night on FS1 in Las Vegas, Nevada
Friday, July 7th – TUF 25 Finale on FS1 in Las Vegas, Nevada
Saturday, July 8th – UFC 213 on PPV in Las Vegas, Nevada
Sunday, July 16th – UFC Fight Night on FS1 in Glasgow, Scotland
Saturday, July 22nd – UFC on FOX 25 in Uniondale, New York
Saturday, July 29th – UFC 214 on PPV in Anaheim, California
