Mark Hunt did not like the UFC’s decision to pull him out of his scheduled headliner against Marcin Tybura in Sydney this November.
UFC heavyweight veteran Mark Hunt was supposed to headline the UFC’s event in Sydney against Marcin Tybura this November. But on Tuesday, the UFC decided to make a change by replacing him with former champion Fabricio Werdum.

According to the UFC’s official statement, the “Super Samoan” was removed from the fight “due to medical concerns.” In another statement that the company sent to The Daily Telegraph, it was specified that their decision stemmed from Hunt’s recent article on The Player’s Voice, where he revealed some concerning details about his health and physical condition.
“My body is f—-d but my mind is still here,” Hunt wrote in his column published last month. “I’ve still got my senses about me and I know what’s right and wrong, which is the main thing. Sometimes I don’t sleep well. You can hear me starting to stutter and slur my words. My memory is not that good anymore. I’ll forget something I did yesterday but I can remember the sh-t I did years and years ago.”
Hunt has always been known as a fighter who took on all comers, which is why when he got word of his removal, he was predictably irate.
The 43-year-old fighter made his feelings known in a recent Instagram post.
