Marlon Vera will soon have the opportunity to expand the best streak of his UFC career.
The Ecuadorian fighter has verbally agreed with Andre Ewell for a bantamweight bout at UFC Tampa (UFC on ESPN+ 19) on Oct. 12. The event, which being headlined by Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Michelle Waterson, will go down at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.
The news was first reported by MMA Junkie and later confirmed by MMA Fighting.
Vera is riding a four-fight win streak with his last win being on July at UFC 239 where he submitted Nohelin Hernandez. The 26-year-old fighter is 11-5-1 in his MMA career.
Meanwhile, Ewell will be looking to build off his decision win over Anderson dos Santos in June. Prior to that, Ewell had come up short against prospect Nathaniel Wood. Ewell is 31 years old and sports a record of 15–5.
