Matt Mitrione has enjoyed his time apart from UFC. After leaving the promotion behind in 2016, “Meathead” has experienced a career change few fighters dream of. Not only has the 39-year-old heavyweight been placed atop the Bellator MMA throne as one of promotion’s biggest draws, but Mitrione has been fortunate enough to finish all three of his Bellator bouts by way of knockout. This includes his recent first-round stoppage of MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko back at Bellator NYC this past June.
Now, Mitrione is taking aim at another huge MMA star. In a recent interview with Barstool Sports Heartland’s Pat Mcafee (shown below), “Meathead” verbally obliterated former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, who has been rumored in a potential superfight with UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones.
Welp.. @mattmitrione called out Brock Lesnar in a completely savage ruthless manner in today’s BONUS/SPECIAL/MAJESTIC/EXTRA @patmcafeeshow.. Listen to the rest of this incredible convo NOW #LinkInBio

“I would beat the f*cking breaks off Brock Lesnar,” Mitrione said. “There is no question about this whatsoever. He would never fight me…never. He would fight Jon Jones because he would think he can take Jon Jones down. He would never fight me. I’ve been asking to fight Brock Lesnar since the day I went on The Ultimate Fighter.
“If you think that dude is an athlete go suck a d*ck. That dude is not an athlete. He’s a giant body.”
Well, there you have it. According to Mitrione, Lesnar is nothing more than a bag of meat. That may be more true at this point in time, especially considering Lesnar has competed just once inside of the cage since 2011, but the WWE superstar does hold wins over notable MMA legends like Randy Couture and Frank Mir. Not to mention Lesnar submitted the once unbeatable Shane Carwin.
While fight fans would love to see Mitrione put his money where his mouth is and go against “The Beast Incarnate,” Lesnar will presumably fight under the UFC banner if he ever decides to leave WWE, again.
