Andrew Tabiti kept his undefeated record intact with a comfortable win over Steve Cunningham on the Mayweather vs. McGregor undercard.

Cruiserweight prospect Andrew Tabiti notched the biggest win of his career, as he cruised to a rather uneventful decision over former champion Steve Cunningham in the opening bout of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor PPV undercard.

Neither man really asserted themselves in the early stages of the contest. Tabiti stunned Cunningham with a right hand early in round 4, and it was clearly the best punch landed up to that point. The 27-year-old was finding success with his jab and combination work, and was able to land solid shots to the head and body. Cunningham was just not active or accurate enough. The 41-year-old was unable to handle Tabiti’s speed, and he was clearly outgunned. Cunningham was never really in danger of being stopped, so this wasn’t an entertaining start to the PPV broadcast, but it is another victory for one of Floyd Mayweather’s fighters.

Official result: Andrew Tabiti (15-0, 12 KOs) def. Steve Cunningham (29-9-1, 13 KOs) by unanimous decision (97-93, 97-93, 100-90) – 10 rounds, cruiserweights (200 lbs)
